My saves on Xbox Series X got overwrited

Hello,

I wanted to play The Lampligher League today and when I launched the game I noticed my saves where gone. I tried to delete local saves and download saves from the cloud but it seems they are gone now. I have no idea what happened. I haven't been playing on any other console or PC, I simply wanted to continue playing and my saves where gone. Can I somehow get my saves back? And if not (which makes me so pissed off I can't even describe it), how did that even happen? I mean, I simply launched the game and saves were gone.

I did that and my saves are still gone. You should really fix that issue. It can happen again easily and that is not acceptable.

I am very sorry that you are experiencing this problem.

Unfortunately, once a file saved in the cloud is overwritten, there is no way to recover it. Here are some steps you could try:

Go to My games and apps.

Highlight the game.

Press the menu button and select Manage game and add-ons.

Go to saved data > Select delete local saves > Delete from console

Then, power cycle your console to clear its cache:

Turn off your console and your router/modem.

Disconnect all cables from both devices (power, HDMI, etc.) and wait 2 minutes.

After 2 minutes, plug all cables back into your router/modem and wait for all the lights to turn on.

Plug all the cables into your console and turn it on

Open the game again and see which cloud save loads. If it is this “old” one saved in the cloud, unfortunately you will not be able to recover the “new”

Remember that factory reset is always recommended to rule out any error that you are experiencing, it must be ruled out that you do not have a problem with cloud storage, it should be noted that you must remember if you normally saved your data in the cloud.

Yeah, I’m having the same problem. Got an Xbox Series X/S, bought the Series X/S version of the game — beat it, got the DLC upgrade but now my save files don’t want to upload saying I have to get my Xbox One file…which I don’t have.

I know I could just delete my saves and start over, but I’m not spending another 50+ hours grinding through to get to where I was in the first place.

Ok, I'll give that a try this morning. I have a question...if I start a new game, does that overwrite my old save?

Question 2: can I start a new game on a different account and create a new save without overwriting my older save on the other account?
