My Roku TV made by onn. causes updates to fail when the system restarts during updates.

Did you mean about the console’s system updates? Currently, has it been updated already?

It’s possible that it may be a compatibility issue. Try to update your TV firmware as well.

Started when I bought my Xbox x series and played gotham knights. I have an Onn 50 in roku 4 months old I not sure about the 120hz tho. Not sure about the update.

Electro - There's quite a bit that happens during an update. Just because a console fails in the middle of one does not mean that it was the update that caused the failure, it just happened to be the last straw. People saying it's the update's fault is about
equivalent to blaming The Walking Dead for breaking your TV because that happens to be what was playing when the TV stopped working. It worked fine before hand though, so clearly it was The Walking Dead that broke the TV, right?

Important: Do you have a Static IP? Because a IP That changes during an update may cause the update to fail, with this router make sure that the IP that you get stays constant, a always changing IP can either disconnect you, or it can cause updates to fail.

What error do you see? Is your controller disconnecting?

I noticed on my wife's console that if the controller turned off during the update it would fail and restart. So if your controller/console sleeps when it fails just keep nudging the right analogue stick to keep them both awake until the update completes.
