My refund was request was denied even though I have less than 2 hours play time.

I recently purchased "Assassin's Creed" 7 days ago, and I have less than 2 hours played. I requested a refund because I did not make the purchase and the refund was denied. I ask that please may my refund request be reviewed as it was denied even though my refund was eligible.

You can try replying to the email you received denying the refund to contact the refund specialists, but even then, refunds are not guaranteed.

Have you played the game for more than 2 hours? If so, then that's the reason they denied it. To request a refund you need to have a max of 2 hours played and owned for less than 14 days.

I have just checked the playtime, it is 2 hours and 51 minutes. Whilst this is over the set 2 hour period, an hour of that was spent managing options and watching the intro, before I could play the game and decide that it was not for me. Surely less than 2 hours cannot be all it takes for a £100 title to be denied a refund?

Further to the email confirmation, I have received these for refunds before however this time I've received no email confirmation or decision emails. It is not present in my spam box either, however the denied status is still present when I check the request status.

If you purchased the game less than 2 weeks ago AND have less than 2 hours played then you can use the following steps to request a refund. If youve owned it longer then two weeks and/or played it for two hours or more than the request is likely to be denied.

Hello there, a few days ago I bought Dragon Ball Z Kakarot on the Xbox one and it turns out I bought the wrong game, I played the game for around 2 hours before I realised my mistake and quickly uninstalled the game and requested a refund however for some reason my request was denied as "they cant refund digital games that have been played or used" which I believe to be utter nonsense as I have refunded digital games before with 0 issue. I simply bought the wrong game and want my money back.

Yeah. If you played it for more than 2 hours then that makes you ineligible for a refund.
