My phone can't find my Bluetooth controller

I got accepted today to be an xCloud previewer (yay!) but, when I went to try and connect my controller to my Pixel 2 nothing would pop up in the nearby Bluetooth devices tab. This may be a phone issue but, I figured I'd ask and see if anyone has had similar problems and have found a solution. I know the controller works because I tested it on my PC. Any help would be awesome, thanks!

so this happen when headset is connect to wireless adapter only (remove the Bluetooth connection to my phone)

When headset disconnect with wireless adapter the connection with Bluetooth(phone) connection with the phone still there. I'm able to reconnect with the adapter anymore. My thought was because of Bluetooth but I don't think that it.

Don't have controller.

first of all when you do these steps as per link i provided is the Xbox controller on the Bluetooth settings on your hone. Can your phone find it??? Make sure your phone is up to date also and just like pairing a headset on your phone either turn the Bluetooth
on and off and make sure its searching for the Bluetooth. It should work i have several paired on my phone but i have a pixel iPhone and Samsung.. the lg should work too. Make sure its compatible

Having checked my WiFi speeds I have found the following.

Standard speeds. down 53, up 12, lat 12.8.

With Bluetooth controller connected to phone. Down 9!, up 14, lat 17.

Clearly the controller to phone Bluetooth connection is massively affecting my download speed.

Are there any fixes?
