My personal & perfectly sane Series X wishlist!

I was dreaming the other night and figured I'd create a post here.

If Microsoft is going to revamp Xbox Game OS with the launch of Series X, it would be very nice to implement these features in the process (and bring them to the Xbox One, too):

HDMI-CEC support
It's getting ridiculous at this point. Xbox One is the ONLY device in any AV stack that does not communicate CEC commands.Which means it cannot switch ports on your TV & AVR, and cannot sleep when you change the input away from Xbox. Huge inconvenience for any person with more than one device hooked to the TV (say, Roku streaming box and an Xbox). IR is a hack that does not deserve a place in 2020.

USB Audio support
I could start with the same phrase. Xbox One is the ONLY 8th gen console that does not work with standard USB DACs, headsets and microphones.Microsoft's solution to the problem is Xbox Wireless headsets, but those are expensive, incompatible with other devices and they don't really solve the problem of not being able to hook up Xbox to the audiophile-grade DAC.

I'd also love to see some hardware features on Series X that are going to make the console far more superior than it already (probably!) is:

Additional HDMI output for audio
There was a leaked photo on the internet that showed Series X prototype, and it had single HDMI output and optical audio output. I don't know if it's real, but it would be far more wise to have dual HDMI output instead of optical, one for audio & video, other for audio only.There is quite a lot of AVRs in the wild that do not have HDMI 2.1 ports or eARC capability (99.99999% of them, to be precise). Having additional HDMI port would allow to deliver lossless LPCM or Dolby Atmos audio to AVR while delivering pristine 4K 120 Hz HDR image straight to the TV. Lots of UHD Blu-Ray players do that, like Sony X700 or Oppo 203, and it's a nice capability to have.

NVMe expansion slot that creates RAID0 array with internal drive
On the same leaked photo, there was a hole that looked like a place to put NVMe drive in for storage expansion. If that's going to end up on retail consoles, please allow users to use it as a RAID0 array combined with internal storage. Just imagine those loading times with 14 GB/s RAID solution instead of 7 GB/s on the internal drive... why not?

USB storage for non-Series X enhanced games
It's highly likely that games designed for Series X will require NVMe storage and won't work from a USB drive, whether it's HDD or SSD. Then please allow users to use USB storage for games designed for Xbox One & Xbox 360! It's simple and useful. If a game gets Series X-enhanced patch, then just move it to internal drive.

Easy to dream a dream, eh? Anyway, I really wish to see at least some of these ideas to make their way onto Xbox.
