My PC XBox app is not working. HELP!!

This is was addressed the other day too, a solution/work around was found by another user.

"I unlinked Facebook completely on the Xbox companion app on my PC.

I then downloaded the Xbox app onto my phone and connected it using the phone app. it connected fine and the Xbox companion app on my pc then updated with my Facebook linked to it with no further problems. works fine now"

Please give this a go and see if it helps solve the problem.

No im usign the xbox app on mincrosoft and on my phone is working the controller on xbox game cloud but on my pc even with bluetooth it dont work on the xbox app

Regarding Movies & TV app, will not start states "update in progress" on my Xbox One but there aren't any updates as I checked. Yet this app works on pc. Any help would be appreciated - thanks

Based on the information you provided, I would like to suggest these potential solutions, maybe one of them will help you.

Note: Skip the ones you already tried.

A. Run the Gaming Services repair tool and then try again.

B. Perform a clean boot in your PC, once restarted, try again.

C. Search “Services” by using the Windows search functionality and look for the following services:

IP Helper
Xbox Live Auth Manager
Xbox Live Game Save
Xbox Live Networking Service
Gaming Services

For each service: Right-click on the service > Properties.
In Startup Type, set the service to Automatic.

If the service isn’t started, click Start > Apply > OK to save changes, restart your PC and try again.

Note: In case GamingServices can't be modified, skip that one.

Apart from that, may I know if the error code you wrote after describing you tried to update Windows, is the one that appears during the Windows update installation process?

If so, attempting to update your PC again shows the same error code?
