    My PC keeps crashing when I try to play Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3


    I recently replaced my RTX 3080 with a 4080 Super, and it works fine with other games, except sometimes when I try to play Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3. I ran into an error on Hogwarts Legacy a few times saying I ran out of video memory (impossible) while it was caching shaders when you first start the game, but I reinstalled drivers and then tried once more to run the game and it ran fine. I have a minidump file, but not sure how to attach it here.

    Please, make sure your Windows is updated:

    Then, run a system scan:

    Open the Terminal window by pressing the Windows Key + X and Select "Terminal (Administrator)".

    Type this command: sfc /scannow

    Press Enter.

    If any error is found, they will be patched.

    Then use the DISM command.

    On the same Terminal window, type these commands:

    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth

    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

    Restart your PC.

    Unfortunately Call of Duty Modern Warfare is not a Xbox Play Anywhere title, the PC version is a separate game and can only be purchased and downloaded for PC via

    Blizzard    . The PC version is not sold on the Windows Store.

    If you want to try it, Warzone is a free download.
