    I recently just built my own gaming PC, Core i5 12400F, 16Gb Ram 3200, B660 Gaming X motherboard and a Gigabyte rtx 3060 gaming oc rev.2 12gb. I initially used an old ssd from my old pc with an intel gen 7 1050ti and it had some problems but it ran games fine until I bought my nvme ssd where I installed windows from scratch.

    I have this problem in games like warzone 2, warzone , Battlefield 1, Battlefield V and also 3D Mark benchmark, where the program crashes with an error 0x887A0005 0x887A0006 Or in Battlefield dgxi error device hung or when I added Tdr level dxgi error invalid call. I disabled dx12 in Battlefield 1 and still got problems. Sometimes I got pixel flares when rendering and the game run for some time and then it just freezes and crashes, while warzone 2 refuses to launch. I have reinstalled windows 2 times used ddu more than enough times installed different drivers still issue. Haven benchmark runs perfectly no issue, but i think its a gpu firmware issue. What are your thoughts?

    If it's even having trouble with 3DMark, then it's definitely an issue (strange that it runs Heaven fine given that is more demanding but I've seen stranger).

    First thing I would do is open it up and make absolutely certain that all cables are properly in place....I know from experience that sometimes cables can be like a mm out when they look like they are fully in place.

    I am not entirely sure what process you used to reinstall Windows or, once installed, what you then installed into Windows so I would recommend reinstalling again using the following process:

    Download the tool from here (I have linked Windows 10 and 11 as you didn't specify which you are using):

    Ideally you want to download that tool to USB using a computer you know has no faults.

    Install Windows....once done, go to Windows Update and install everything there (critical and optional alike). Once installed, restart your system then go and check for updates again. Keep repeating till none show up.

    Now download your GPU driver direct:

    Restart. At this point, we have an absolutely clean Windows install. Either install one problematic game or 3DMark (and Steam client if needed) and nothing else...now try it...if the issue persists, then it points to hardware.

    Unfortunately, you chose an Intel CPU that does not have integrated graphics so you can't simply remove the GPU and test without it as that would definitively point to the GPU. In your place, I would be checking the RAM:

    Run it overnight to ensure it fully completes (system can't be used while it is running)

    If that comes up no errors, try reseating the RAM sticks and then, assuming you have 2 sticks, pulling one and try running the game, then swap them out as necessary (the issue may be RAM related)

    I have done both, I am running F21 Bios version and xmp is on, while memtest didn't produce any errors and the test passed.

    have you enabled xmp in your bios, you need to do this for the ram to be the correct speed, also have you updated the bios of the mainboard to the latest revision, these are pretty much essential.

    When I installed it both times, the motherboard itself gigabyte has an app installer and i just installed all the drivers needed from there then i update the windows then i install the gpu driver from nvidia's website.

    Maybe i need to install drivers myself or use windows update only?

    I use bitdefender but i used norton security once and it didn't make a difference. One stick of ram in the 2nd slot works with both sticks, but it probably get overwhelmed with only 8gb.

    As for the CPU i've ran Cinebench and have gotten no problems, but just to be safe I'll try to reseat it anyway.
