My password is lost and impossible to get back

(This is an alt account im asking my question from)

So basically i cant get my password AT ALL. I have 2FA enabled on my account and i forgot my passworr. Since i have 2FA when i try to go and press forgot password it asks for 2 things to verify which is my phone number AND authentictor app. The issue is
i dont own my authenticator app since i got a new phone and it says i cant back it up. When i go to login to the authenticator app, it asks me to use the authenticator app which doesnt make ANY sense. I cant disable 2FA without my password and when i go to
fill out the recovery form it says i cant because i have 2FA enabled.

I also dont have a recovery code at all so thats it.

In this case you will have to call Xbox Support and talk to an agent so that he can verify that you are the owner of the account.

Thanks for your reply. I have created another account But how do I request deletion of an account which I cannot login to? Waiting 60 days is fine, I just want it gone.

I don't believe you can delete accounts even if you could sign in. I tried deleting a spare microsoft account once. It wouldn't let me because there is an xbox account attached to it.

The best thing you can do is forget the account exists.

And make sure you have at least two bits of recovery info on your new account.
