Do you know the full email address of the hacker that’s currently linked to your account? You need to know the current email because you’re going to use that in the recovery process.

By any chance is the password of your Microsoft account the same as the one for your EA account?

EA was compromised a while ago and passwords taken there. 'Hackers' it seems have been trying passwords from there on LIVE accounts to see if they match.

That'd be my guess for what has happened to you.

As has been said using language like that is against microsoft chat regulations so it is likley you were reported through 'chat violations' by the hacker.

If you reported the hacker on the xbox menus providing as much information as possible will help your case get seen to. (you will not know what action is taken other than an 'action has been taken due to a recent report' message)

If you reported them through the game and not via xbox then it is upto the company that make the game how to proceed.

If it says it's taken, then it's taken. It might have been taken on other Microsoft service such as Zune, so you won't be able to add it as a friend to test it.
