    My Original Xbox One recently started shutting off at random times


    This past week I've experienced my Xbox completely shutting off at random times. I have my power supply plugged into a power strip and everything else in the strip stays on, so it has to be either my xbox or the power supply. I just tried blowing dust
    out with an air compressor, but it wasn't really dusty to begin with. I unplug my power supply from the power strip for a few seconds and my xbox will turn back on. Wondering if anyone's experienced this before, I'm guessing my power supply is just getting
    old and I need a replacement?

    It sounds like a faulty power supply, as others have stated. I would suggest buying a new power supply and test it out. If it does not work, then you know that isn't the problem and you could return the power supply for a refund.

    Oddly enough mine does this sometimes when o play Ark. when it starts to happen i can get it to stop by doing a dino wipe. So weird.

    Hi Alex,

    It is most likely the fact that it is in the power strip, I found this out a long time ago with the 360. If plugging it in the the wall outlet doesn't fix the issue yo may need a new power supply.

    Mine turns on by itself all the time to. It doesn't take much interference for it to turn on. It does it sometimes when I turn the xbox on in the back room. I have to turn it off at least twice a day from it randomly turning on.
