    My original Xbox One keeps freezing and restarting


    I've been having an issue with my Xbox One freezing during gameplay and then the console restarting. This has happened multiple times in the past 3 or 4 weeks. I'm not in the preview program anymore because I opted out in August if that info is needed.

    Game keeps freezing on my profile. Have to keep exiting back to home screen, restart game, freezes again during franchise mode. Have attempted to start 4 different franchises and keeps freezing. Game is a digital download, not disc. Have also tried it
    on two different xbox ones. Help!

    Xbox One instability

    I've had way more xbox 360 crashes than xone, also different machines so you know. Difference now is my xbox doesn't have to be restarted, it just goes to dashboard which isn't an issue.

    Xbox 360 crashes it completely locks up and freezes until i restart.

    Hiya!

    Paul from the Xbox Forums Team here to assist, it sounds like you're experiencing an issue with the console freezing and restarting while playing games. what I recommend doing is performing a

    power cycle on the console    . If the power cycle doesn't fix the issue you can always attempt to do a

    soft factory reset    . As well be advised while performing the soft factory reset it will remove the profile from the Xbox console so be sure to know the log in info. Please let me know how it goes.

    Xbox One X Games freezing?

    My large games keep freezing on my Xbox One S - I've cleared the cache, restarted the games, nothing seems to make any difference. It happens especially on Skyrim and Pinball FX3, which are fairly large games.

    Sorry to hear about your game freezing, let's try to get you back online! If you haven't already, please try

    uninstalling and reinstalling     your game by doing the following:

    1. From Home, select My games & apps, and then select
      See all.
    2. When you’ve highlighted something to uninstall, press the Menu button on your controller.
    3. Select Manage game & add-ons, then Uninstall all.
