    My Original Xbox one has recently entered surge mode


    So my original Xbox one has entered surge mode and the power bricks LED turns white when I turn my Xbox on but it turns off and the LED turn solid orange again I've tried to reset my power supply but it still doesn't work do I need a new power brick or
    a new Xbox I mean id like to keep my current Xbox but I don't know if it's malfunctioning or if its the power brick? Oh and the power brick would just turn off when I plugged it in my Xbox but I some how fixed that and that was two days ago it worked just
    fine until I turned it off to go to bed why do you guys think that happened?

    Which Xbox One Console do you have? Xbox One original (external power brick), Xbox One S, or Xbox One X? It might be a power supply failure if you've had any recent power surges or outages without your console being plugged into a surge protector. If you
    have the Xbox One original, then buying a new power supply brick may solve your problem.

    I believe that I am using the Xbox One S. There haven’t been any recent power outages or surges of my knowledge, and the console is connected to a surge protector.

    Is it the original Xbox or the Xbox One S. If it was the original Xbox and wasnt on a surge protector it could have gotten damaged.

    The surge protector is already built in.

    Whether you have the power brick on the original Xbox One or the One S or upcoming X. The PSU also doubles as a surge protector.

    My sister has the original xbox one as well 500GB her machine kept turning off because the plug, the part with the big box on it shorted from a power surge. I would also check that it could be part of the problem
