My One is on but it isn't displaying on my TV?

So I haven't played xbox in a while, it has been around 2-3 years since I played it and thought I will fire my xbox one up, it all showed up on my TV though the whole update, but there was an error through my update but I managed to update it using something.. (can't remember what it was) so after the update the console fired back up again, didn't have the xbox start up screen went to black except when you wanna log in through controller, it seems to be stuck on this. I can hold in the xbox home button and it seems to be showing power options. (turn off, restart) so i did restart my xbox and then it went to the start up screen and then it goes black again I sign in but then after that it just says "bye bye "insertname"" and then goes black like nothing is happening. I can still hold on home button and get the power options to show up but that is it. I don't know what is happening. I tried restarting it. Tried hard/soft restarting it, there isn't anything wrong with the HDMI cables since I changed them (I have two) There isn't anything wrong with my TV. (My PS4 and PS5 work perfectly) There isn't wrong with the port since it is a fairly new TV. I don't know what the hell is going on?

These procedures weren't supposed to have this kind of impact on your console, because by your report the problem is software, as you said the update probably corrupted your system.

Usually, the above procedures will solve the problem, if not, it will be necessary to take the console to repair or replace the internal hard drive.

Yeah man.. Awesome. Great.. Now it wont even display on my TV. It just says no signal as the console isn't coming through video.

This is why I moved to Playstation a few years ago.

I've tried this and it didnt help. I can still see my screen, but its extremely dark and cant make out words. However, on my tv home(where it shows hdmi 1/2/3 windows) screen in the window I can see it PERFECT. It's not the hdmi wires, I unplugged everything, tried what you said, but it's still dark and words cant be made out. I dont have a disk console(it came with codes for games) if I choose to reset it without keeping games, will I need those codes again? Not sure what to do here.

First, welcome to the Xbox community. Seeing your problem, apparently, it may be due to the system being corrupted, usually, the problem can be solved by following the instructions below.

Solution 1:

1. Turn off Xbox One.

2. Unplug power.

3. Plug the power back to Xbox One 30 seconds later.

4. Press and hold Bind and Eject at the same time (don't release).

5. Press and release the Power button, and then you will hear the startup chime.

6. When you hear the second startup chime, you can release the bind and eject buttons.

7. Select Reset this Xbox on the screen.

8. Select Keep games and apps.

Solution 2:
