My Offline game dont work and my xbox is set to home xbox to play them offline

Kindly perform a powercycle and then try to play your games again.

1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off. ​​​

2. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller. ​​​

To play your digital games offline, the console you wish to use them must be the home console for your account. You must set the home console while connected to Xbox LIVE. Once the 'Home' console is set, you can play all Xbox One games offline, even the
digital ones.

In regards to the original question about playing BC Xbox 360 games offline, the answer is yes. You can play Xbox 360 games offline too. How do I know? I've just tried it with the Xbox Arcade game 'Perfect Dark' and it worked fine.

To play offline on your console, you have to set your console as the home Xbox and go into network settings and set the console as offline. Then you can play the games offline as much as you want.

You do not need a gold subscription to play games on the Xbox One unless the game states that you do. (Star Wars Battlefront, Destiny, Plants V Zombies Garden Warfare 1 & 2 etc etc). If you want to play the console offline, you only have to go into network
settings and make the console play offline. Remember though that if you do make your console go offline, make sure your console is set as the home xbox, otherwise your digitally downloaded games will not work. For more info on the Home Xbox setting have

This is a very old thread. However, in answer to the last post, yes you can play your games offline. All you need to do is set your Xbox One as the 'Home Console'. I was able to play my Xbox One games offline during the disruptions that occurred in December.
Even my digital games worked.
