Xbox accessories such as controllers or remotes vary by country but on average have a 90 day warranty from the date of purchase.

If you want to double check warranty status of your console or any registered device you can do it by logging in to https://account.microsoft.com/devices.

If you require service on your device or accessory you can process the service request via this link as well (if you're not able to see the controller select you console > click on info and support > start repair order > under category select accessory and follow the on-screen steps)

standard xbox one controllers have been replaced with the series s/x controllers that work with all xbox one consoles and the new series s and x and even pc. they are readily in stock all over the uk, try argos.

Geri, I'm not sure if you still are receiving this thread but I did get my replacement Xbox controller today and I hooked it up to my series X and everything worked fine except that there is no sound coming through my wired headphones. These are Arctis Prime Steel Series wired headphones that worked fine with all my other controllers and just recently with my Xbox series X controller but when I connected to the Elite control they sent me it does there's no sound coming through. I cleaned the port a harder rebooted my Xbox Series X I updated the firmware and still no results.

Do you have any suggestions?

Yea, I understand and I apologise about that. The reports you sent point to the Series X controller and not the Xbox One controller. I'm afraid the controller can no longer be repaired under warranty and you'll need to get a replacement.

I have the exact same issue, I tried to trade in my xbox one into game in the United Kingdom, controller was scuffed so it got rejected, fired it up when I went home and the right anolog stick only works when the magnifying glass is on and only for panning, tried to connect the xbox one controller to my series x to see if it would work on my series x and now all of a sudden the issue is also on my series x controller so I also can't play that! I feel hopeless and after reading online it seems like no one has the issues apart from ourselves! I will keep trying to fix and let you know if I get anywhere
