My new laptop keeps getting the error we found your console but can’t connect

Please give me more information to understand your problem, the laptop connects normally to the internet, can you browse websites without problems? Or do you just have problems with the Xbox application on your Laptop?

If you are having trouble connecting to a wireless network in Windows 7, 8, 10 or 11, here's what you can do. First of all, make sure that your wireless network is active and working properly. Check the cable connections, and your modem and router configuration. Can you access your wireless network with another device? Now let’s look at your Windows desktop. Can you see the wireless icon in the notification area? Check the hidden icons, too.

If you cannot see the wireless icon, your Wi-Fi adapter may not be correctly installed or may be disabled in the BIOS. Enter the BIOS and enable Wireless LAN. Then go to support.lenovo.com and download and install the latest wireless LAN drivers for your PC model. Alright, now you can see the icon, but is Wi-Fi really turned on? Click the icon and make sure Wi-Fi is switched on and Airplane mode is switched off. In Windows 7, right-click on the power icon, select Windows Mobility Center, and then click Turn wireless on.

Last, make sure you have the correct name and password for your wireless network. Now, your Wi-Fi adapter is active. If you cannot connect, or you connect but you cannot browse the Internet, the first thing you can do is use the Network Troubleshooter tool. Right-click on the wireless icon and select Troubleshoot problems. If that did not work for you, you can try something a little more advanced. First, you can try resetting TCP/IP Stack. Search for cmd, right-click on command prompt and choose Run as Administrator. Type the command netsh int ip reset c:\restlog.txt and press Enter.

Second, you can try to release and renew the IP address. In the command prompt, type ipconfig /release and press Enter. Then type ipconfig /renew and press Enter. You can also try disabling the firewall and antivirus. Remember to enable them again once you have finished. To turn off all firewalls, type netsh advfirewall set allprofiles state off and then press Enter.

To disable the antivirus, check the antivirus instructions. Another thing you can try is removing the latest apps you have installed or restoring a functioning backup. A tip: If your PC is a Think model and you upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10, you can uninstall the ThinkVantage Access Connections software and have instead Windows manage the connections.

"Internet Connection: Ethernet over my laptop"

Wait what? you are connected from your Laptop to your console? This is new to me lol. I shall research!

I just tried that. Still get error saying "We found your console, but can't connect. Try from a different Wi-Fi or cellular network."

I'm also having the same trouble, and I keep getting the same Status Code you've been getting. After looking up the code on the website, I found this:

"This error occurs if your console has been tampered with or modified. Your console can no longer connect to Xbox LIVE, install software updates, or play new games that require a console software update."

The problem is, I haven't tampered with my xbox at all, and I'm sure you haven't either. I'd like to get this fixed.

Xbox consoles may only be connected to a TV or a monitor, they are not able to be connected to a laptop. To better assist, you may view Set up your Xbox One console for steps on how to set your console up with a TV or monitor.
