My new headset wont output audio where I want

Hi!

If you are plugging in your headset directly with 3.5mm headset jack all you need to do is to press the Xbox home button on your controller to bring up the guide, then go right till you reach the settings tab. then adjust the Headset Chat Mixer and bring it
all the way to the right for only chat sound.

If you are using an adaptor, it will have a button on it that resembles a human icon, press that all the way up until you hear beeps on your headset and you're good to go!

It's either your headset If this is not the problem go to Settings>General>Volume & audio output>Volume options and switch party chat output to headset & speakers, you will be able to hear hem but out of your tv/computer you wont be able to hear them threw
your headset do to the problem

My game audio (wireless) works fine to my TB deltas....just plugged in the optic audio from the TV output to the TB base station input. For chatting, I cut the wire from the Xbox One chat headset and soldered the wires to a 2.5mm plug that came with my TB
headset....though I would prefer to get chat wirelessly, at least it works well and I can decide in the future if I want to go with the adapter or a new set of headsets......

Thanks for coming to the forums. This is due to the way your settings are currently. You will want to go to settings>General>volume and audio output>the second option where it says party chat output, select headset and speakers.

Hello there Kai, if you have a tv + speakers and want to use a headset instead you simply need to go to settings > volume & audio output > hdmi audio > headset format. If that does not sork you can go into additional options and check the ‘’mute speaker audio when headset attached’’ and party output to headset instead of speakers.
