2. Restart your Xbox One S console and make sure it is updated with the latest version of the operating system.
3. Restart your router or modem to restore your Internet connection.
4. Verify that you are using the correct application and that it is updated.
5. Try signing out of your Xbox account on your console and signing back in.
6. If possible, try uninstalling and reinstalling the app on the console.
7. Check if there are any network or firewall settings that may be blocking the connection between the console and the application.

Having the same issue with same console type.

Xbox Console refuses to connect, PS3 works fine attatched to same switch.

Both are wired not wifi.

Interesting thing I see on the iPad connected to same network is trying to connect to Xbox.com via safari and xbox live app is that both seem to be going through a massive number of redirects. Safari never connects, but Xbox app on iPad will eventually.
Safari complains of to many redirects and stops trying.

I do believe there is a problem with live logins.

Also had a problem last night trying to download updates. Was able to finally get them down after MANY attempts. Have not been able to log in since.

So you have downloaded the new Console Companion app now? Make sure that you have the app connected through the same internet that your Xbox is running through, as this is how it will recognize it. If you have your Xbox connected through your homes WiFi,
but say you are using your phone data internet connection (without being connected to the same WiFi) to connect the app, then it will not find the console and cannot connect. So I would check the internet connections first and make sure they are connected
through the same method.

You cannot use a hotspot to connect a mobile device to a console via the smartglass app. The console and mobile device must be connected to the same WiFi network.
