My NAT Type says unavailable! How do I fix?

Hello Ben,

This problem Just started for me in the middle of a multi player match. Currently, my NAT type is showing unavailable on my XBOX X.

However, on another console or laptop, there are zero issues connecting to multiplayer, or NAT related issues.

This appears to be an issue only with this console and not the router. What would you suggest as the troubleshooting steps only outline how to check the router?

With regards to this issue, the status of your NAT should be open in order to play without problem on Xbox Live. No worries as there is a troubleshooting ready made for this. What I suggest is to follow the steps to be found on this link https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/hardware-ne...

It has a guide on what to do in order to fix NAT type issues. In addition to that, if the steps somehow still not work for you. The next thing to do is to open a port on your router settings but for me it would be best to contact your Internet provider so they are the ones to configure it for you. Just give this settings for them to configure or you can still configure it yourself if you are familiar with your router settings. Open the following ports:

Port 88 (UDP)

Port 3074 (UDP and TCP) (If this is your second console, enter the port number you selected above when you manually set Alternate port selection.)

Port 53 (UDP and TCP)

Port 80 (TCP)

Port 500 (UDP)

Port 3544 (UDP)

Port UDP 4500 (UDP)

I did try to clear the MAC address and it did work, my NAT type changed to open and i thought everything was fixed. I got on again today and it said it was not working again. My NAT type says open but when i check NAT it says it is unavailable.
