Looks like it could be drug slang for Vicodin. (I haven't seen it lately, but lots of folks named "Cody" have complained that they can't use their name, either.)



It's unfortunate, but Xbox Live discourages you from sharing too many personal details, anyway.

They changed my name as well...one I held for 9 years...we see how Microsoft treats it's customers that have had the name from the Xbox, Xbox 360 and now the Xbone...as in now Xbox bones you...thanks buttheads.

You have two choices at this point: pay to change your gamertag or keep what you have. But in the end you need to follow the Terms of Use and Code of Conduct.

You can turn off the option to share real name by following the steps below;

- Press the Xbox button  to open the guide.

- Select Profile & system > Settings > General > Online safety & family.

- Select Privacy & online safety > Xbox privacy > View details & customize.

- Select Profile, and then scroll right to Real name.

- Select the setting you want from the dropdown menu.

Change display name

• You use your display name whenever you sign in to your account. It's also the name you see on your Windows 10 devices, and it's the name people see when you send emails. This name may differ from your local account's display name.
• Here's how to change your display name if you're signed in to your Microsoft account:
  
  • Sign in to the Your info page on the Microsoft account website.
  • Under your name, select Edit name. If there’s no name listed yet, select Add name.
  • Enter the name you want, then type the CAPTCHA and select Save. Some names may not be allowed if they contain blocked words or phrases. If you get an error when you enter your name, try a nickname instead.
• If the display name doesn't change right away, or if the old name is still showing in emails, your information may be cached. To get the name to update quickly, you can switch
  to your local account, then sign back in to your Microsoft account.
• The display name doesn't change your gamertag. If you want a new gamertag, see How to change your Xbox
  gamertag.

Change administrator name

• To change the administrator name:
  
  • In the search box on the taskbar, type Computer Management and select it from the list.
  • Select the arrow next to Local Users and Groups to expand it.
  • Select Users.
  • Right-click Administrator and select Rename.
  • Type a new name. Note that you'll need to be the administrator to change this name.
