    Not sure if this works, as I had a similar issue even after I tried this, trying to play Thief, but my issue might be game specific, so this might work for you.

    Go to Settings and under Network, change to "Offline" and see if your downloaded games work (obviously multi player wont, but depending on your games, local play is supposed to)

    This wont work anymore not that its requiring the multiplayer pack 2 to even run multi-player online. I tried just deleting to thw bare minimum and it still doesnt work

    i loved mw2 was on live multi player all the time but cheating ruined game for me.i play ops and waw but only the zombies, multi player is not like mw2. hope mw3 wont let cheaters take over.i like mw2 more than ops.
