My Monitor goes black every 2 seconds?

This appears to be a hardware issue, to ensure it's not something with the system configuration, please, reset the console.

Before you continue, make sure you've got the account sign-in information. You'll need it to log back into your console after the reset.

You can follow these steps:

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

Select Reset console.

Select Reset and keep my games & apps.

If the trouble persist, I recommend you submit a repair request.

So I think I found the fix. HOWER LET ME BE VERY CLEAR, NOBODY SHOULD HAVE TO DO THIS.

Under the compatibility settings for the app I could reliably reproduce it there is an option to use legacy ICC color management.

What this setting actually does I have no idea, but since one monitor is HDR and using it and the other monitor is not. There could be conflict in windows, but whatever.

This isnt something that anyone should have to sleuth to figure out.

Well before yesterday this only happened in DOTA2.

I enabled auto HDR just out of curiosity since the even viewer keeps showing something about brightness and that made the problem so bad that it was crazy.

I use HDR normally on the monitor and Windows, but not the auto feature.

I changed cables. Now I dont know if its windows being stupid or nvidia but if you use HDMI and DP even though HDMI is the first port on the gpu the DP always stays no 1 even though that is the second monitor.

So I switched to both DP and at least now the main monitor is no1.

However since yesterday I noticed when opening photoshop the same black screen thing happened. I opened Topaz video AI and it also happened there a couple of times. Played other games for hours and have no problems. Ran systems stability tests with cinebench and futuremark. No stability problems.

Im using the hotfix driver for Nvidia because of the micro stuttering. 14700k, 32gb ram, 4090. Nothing is overclocked. All my drivers are up to date.

I have a way to replicate the problem with video AI. Is there a way I can upload a video or something?

I've been having the same issue. Anytime I get a notification or achievement my screen goes black for a second or two then returns to the game and it usually does it twice every time while the monitor resets back to HDR mode. This not only happens with the
game bar but anytime my fullscreen game is interrupted, like when adjusting volume from my keyboard and the Windows volume UI pops up. It kicks my monitor out of HDR and screen goes black, comes back on, goes black again, then comes back on until the next
interruption. I'm assuming that's what is causing it at least. I am using the Dell S3220DGF monitor with HDR turned on.

Hopefully, they find a fix soon.
