my minecraft wont uninstall

I've tried to uninstall it from control panel and it seems not to be there add or remove programmes and it still isn't there and when I right click the Minecraft launcher app in my 'most frequent' in windows search bar it doesn't do anything and takes me to a control panel screen with nothing on it. I have seen others say to press something called 'clear saved data' but I cannot find this. Can anyone help?

as a side note I'm not sure if this is affecting it but when I run Minecraft it says its running as OpenJDK Platform Binary in task manager.

If I do this will it also uninstall the launcher so I can delete my entire Minecraft then re install off the minecraft.net website because like I said in the first message I cant uninstall the launcher and if I delete the .Minecraft file (without deleting the Launcher) am worried it could cause problems with my game all together.

We got it working maybe it was just having issues that day but, we turned it off and then the next day it worked fine.
