    My minecraft wont lett me play without a profile name when i already have one


    When i went in to the website for minecraft to change my profile name in game and changed it and went back to the game and clicked the play button it just responded with "Write down a profile name for your account" but when i did it just said that it was unable to check if it was available, what do i do?

    I'm sorry you're experiencing these issues.

    There seems to be a data sync issue, I recommend reinstalling the game so it can detect the data you've recently changed.

    Hi I have the exact same problem where my Xbox account name says one thing and says I have paid for Minecraft but when I click on th manage profile button it takes me to a different Minecraft account where is says that I do not have Minecraft java edition and so can't play it. The only reason I was able to play on that pc was because it automatically signed me in when I sign in on another device using the email address used for my Minecraft account it takes me to the profile without Minecraft on it.

    Yes, one of my Microsoft accounts DOES show up as owning the game. However it also has a "Profile Name" button under the Minecraft Java section on the My Games tab, and it tells me that my username is already taken when I enter the username I was using on my Java account before migration.
