    My Minecraft Windows is in beta but I have never used Xbox Insiders.


    I downloaded Minecraft for windows 10 just to play with my partner. But when I ran the program I noticed it was in beta. I watched some videos and noticed to even have the beta I needed to enroll using Xbox Insiders. But I didn't even have an insider's account and had to download the Xbox insiders app for the first time. When I did, the insiders hub says I am not enrolled in anything. I am the only user of my computer and I only have one Microsoft account. I have tried uninstalling and installing Minecraft even using the " Get-AppxPackage -allusers *minecraftUWP* | remove-appxpackage -allusers" command. (Yes I made sure to run in administrator and type Powershell beforehand.) I even enrolled and then unenrolled from the beta in the insiders hub and that didn't work. How do I leave a beta that I never signed up for?

    Your friend will need to leave the Xbox Insiders Minecraft Beta. Have them try following these steps:

    To leave the Minecraft Beta:

    1. On Xbox One or a Windows 10 PC, sign in with the account that registered for the Minecraft Beta and
      launch the Xbox Insider Hub.
    2. Navigate to Insider content > Minecraft (or Minecraft for Windows 10 on PC)
    3. Select Manage.
    4. Use the radio button to select Unenroll (Leave this preview), then select
      Done.
    5. Wait an additional 30-60 minutes after unenrollment completes (Pending no longer appears in the Xbox Insider Hub).
    6. Uninstall and reinstall Minecraft.
