My Minecraft username did not transfer during migration.

There are two things that may be interchange however should not be the same - gamertag and username. Gamertag is for Xbox and username is for Minecraft Java Edition only. The problem is not logging in with my Microsoft account, I'm easily able to login, it's that my Mojang account did not migrate. No detail of my Mojang account was transferred and I'm essentially playing on a new account, none of my worlds transferred, my server progress, not even my username. My display username here is my old Mojang accounts username.

Minecraft may ask you to change your username after updating the launcher due to several important reasons.

- Account Migration: Mojang, the company that develops Minecraft, has been migrating Mojang accounts to Microsoft accounts, During this process, you may be asked to change your username.

I don’t know exactly what happened when you did the migration process. But when you migrate the Mojang account everything should be transferred including the Minecraft username

I did not miss the migration I successfully migrated my Mojang account to my Microsoft account. I am signed in with the correct Microsoft account that was used during the migration.

I am not trying to recover a lost account, and I am not “failing” to provide information. I already submitted everything that was asked for including my Gamertag, screenshots, account details, and past usernames to Minecraft support. The issue is that they are not responding even after I followed up several times. The case was supposedly escalated, and then I heard nothing again.

My issue is not just about ownership. It’s about missing in-game content and progress that I paid for and used to have access to which is no longer appearing on my account after signing in correctly.
