My Minecraft purchase disappeared after a factory reset on my laptop

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Xbox Community. I am sorry that you are still prompted that you have to buy the game, even if you already migrated your Minecraft.

As part of our initial troubleshooting, kindly make sure that you are logged in using the same Microsoft account where you migrated the game. You may check it by going to https://account.microsoft.com/billing/orders

Once confirmed that you are using the correct account, please follow my recommendations below.

1. Delete the Minecraft launcher that exists on your computer.

2. Restart your computer.

3. Install legacy Minecraft launcher for Windows.

Once reinstalled, continue with these instructions.

1. Open Minecraft launcher.

2. If you are already logged in, click on your image and Gamer tag in the upper left corner of the screen and then on "Logout".

3. After logging out, delete all accounts registered in the launcher by clicking on the "X" next to each account.

4. In the Minecraft launcher, enter the Microsoft email and password.

If you bought Minecraft from Microsoft Store, you have to go to Microsoft Store>My Library then look for Minecraft and install.

Make sure you're signed into the Store app with the same Microsoft account that you used to buy the game.

If the above steps did not work, please clear the cache of the Microsoft store. Go to Settings> System> Apps & features> Click Store> Advanced options> Reset.

After the reset, log in with the Microsoft account that has Minecraft Java and reinstall Launcher. Check if you will now be able to play the game.

I did a factory reset because all games and apps would not launch. It would say its taking too long to launch. Games disappeared after the reset. And my purchase history only goes to mid December. Its is set as my home xbox.

I bought the game through the Microsoft store on my laptop, which keep in mind has been through a factory reset. But I was to believe it would stay linked to the same account, of which neither the password nor the email has changed. I have two versions purchased
of the game, one on my xbox, which is labled "Minecraft" and one that used to be on this laptop, purchased through the Microsoft store, labled "Minecraft Windows 10 Edition."

reseting while keeping my games will reset while keeping the game icons, that is obvious but will my game progress be reset, for example I play Minecraft survival, will that world disappear, after the reset, or is it saved in a server somewhere?
