My minecraft launcher wont recognize my microsoft store account

I appreciate your efforts. Are you currently signed in with your Microsoft account on your Windows user or profile? Please check it on PC Settings > Accounts. Make sure that you're also signed in with the correct profile. If possible, try to switch to a local user and see what happens next.

Another steps would be to sign out from Microsoft Store then try to sign back in to the game.

The account that made the purchase most log in the Microsoft store app, and get the new launcher, it's free, that Microsoft store wont show the purchase of Minecraft if was trough Mojang site but will work trough the launcher

its now march 24, and my minecraft bedrock for windows still wont update to 1.20.72.

the update wont show up, neither in the launcher or in microsoft store.

how to fix this?

Seems like it's not recognizing the license for Minecraft Launcher but not with the game Minecraft itself.

Make sure that you have the license for Minecraft Launcher by clicking "Get" in this link and make sure that you're signed in under the correct account as well: https://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/store/minecraf...

Once done, sign out both on Microsoft Store App as well as Xbox App then restart your PC before signing back in then downloading the Minecraft Launcher from Microsoft Store or Xbox App.

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Xbox Community. I understand that you want to reinstall Minecraft. Please follow my recommendations below.

1. Delete the Minecraft launcher that exists on your computer.

2. Restart your computer.

3. Install legacy Minecraft launcher for Windows.

Once reinstalled, continue with these instructions.

1. Open Minecraft launcher.

2. If you are already logged in, click on your image and Gamer tag in the upper left corner of the screen and then on "Logout".

3. After logging out, delete all accounts registered in the launcher by clicking on the "X" next to each account.

4. In the Minecraft launcher, enter the Microsoft email and password.

If you bought Minecraft from Microsoft Store, you have to go to Microsoft Store>My Library then look for Minecraft and install.

Make sure you're signed into the Store app with the same Microsoft account that you used to buy the game.

If the above steps did not work, please clear the cache of the Microsoft store. Go to Settings> System> Apps & features> Click Store> Advanced options> Reset.

After the reset, log in with the Microsoft account that has Minecraft and reinstall Launcher.
