My minecraft keeps 'softlocking'

For some random reason all of a sudden after a few minutes my minecraft becomes unable to be opened

I play on bedrock (mcpe) and this started happening after i installed an addon

The only way i know how to 'reset the timer' (fix it until it happens again) is to uninstall and reinstall minecraft but thats obly ttemportary and then i have to uninstall and reimstall minecraft app again its super annoying

If anybody can tell me a possible solution to stop this please tell me

Thanks for reaching out here in Xbox Forums. I understand there is an issue with the Minecraft game being unable to be opened. Thanks for trying the uninstall and reinstall of the game.

To help better clarify the issue:

What device are you using? (Xbox/Windows 10)
Does the game crash?
Do you receive and error message?

If you are on the Xbox One, I recommend to try doing a soft factory reset of the Xbox console. For more information on how to check out the following article:

soft factory reset of the console, Reset and keep games and apps to help reset the operating
system. Please note before doing this troubleshooting step, make sure to know your email and passwords for your Xbox profiles.

Try this out and let us know the results.

I think i softlocked the account because when i try to add it as a child it says that it is arleady in a family and it says to go to family.microsoft.com and exit the family however i cant, i think i wont play minecraft forever

This did not help. This download bug extends to downloading not only free and paid worlds, but also existing worlds and exiting settings under “updating 1 of 1 packs” softlock screen.

May I know if you tried installing the launcher directly from the Microsoft store / Xbox app?
If not, please give that a try.

If yes, do you know if your windows system received an update recently?
Or please double check the opposite:

Open Settings, click Update and Security and then Windows Update;

Click Check for Updates;

Click the Download and Install Now option, if available (Install optional updates as well)

Also, check the Microsoft Store for any updates on the Xbox apps and its services and update everything too.
After that try again

If the issue persists, please tell me. Where are you experiencing this!
On windows 10 or 11?

In the meantime, try creating a new local administrator user in your PC and try from there

see if you can go back to the previous checkpoint or save . You could start a new name
