I realize that you've encountered a problem with your account got hacked and I understand how you feel.

According to your description, your account has been compromised and the hacker has modified the e-mail you used to receive the code, but you are now able to log into your account, in this emergency situation, you can increase the security of your account in two main ways:

1.

• Enhance the security of your account by logging into Microsoft account | Sign In or Create Your Account Today – Microsoft to checking for suspicious devices and removing them.
  
• Go to Sign in to your account, sign in and locate the device you want to delete.
  
• Select Devices to see all the options, select Delete Device, and follow the instructions.
  
• You can generate a 5X5 recovery code, after generating it, please make sure to save it, this code is only known to you.
  

 

2. Also, I can provide you with a way to dodge/block others' login attempts, which can be done by changing the alias.

• Add a new alias under your account and set that new alias as the login method by log in Manage how you sign in to Microsoft
  
• Remove aliases you don't recognize and add new ones.
  
  
  
• After you done it, scroll down to Sign-in preferences and change it to new alias.
  
  
  
  
  
• This way, when hackers continue to try to log into your account under your old alias, it will show that the account doesn't exist and they will have no way of knowing what your new alias is, which will effectively stop hackers from accessing your account.

Just a quick add-on to the previous thread, I was also charged quite a lot of money on my account around November of last year on my Microsoft account which this would explain. I tackled this by changing my card and card information so someone has clearly been snooping around with my Microsoft account.
