My microsoft/xbox account has been compromised.

I’m so distraught over my kids Xbox account being hacked. The only thing more distraught is having provided mounds of evidence to Microsoft including the hackers email address that’s now inside my 2fa. Yeah.

Also credit card charges occurring.

I provided all the info tied to the account for the last 6 years, yet I can’t even get a measily update. They said it could take 36-72 hours. That was Friday night. They won’t even freeze the account to minimize risk.

If I call, they will say theres been no update. I would think if I can substantiate that we have logged in from one city for almost a decade, with certain IPs, with certain multiple charges, also the name of the hackers gamer tag. For God sakes, the hacker has left my kid’s gamer tag there.

I’m a Microsoft user on many levels including azure, but the handling of this where your details don’t matter and you are left helpless, makes me think twice about other MS platforms I support.

I have a case number and All where I’ve posted much material.

Anytime you feel as though another user has access to your account, it is highly encouraged to change your account password immediately. I would also recommend reviewing If you think your account has been hacked.

If you receive messages from other users that go against our Xbox Community Standards, be sure to report the player. This will allow our enforcement team to investigate the issue and act accordingly.

How can you complain about Microsofts security when you dont even remember your own details? Quote - "I can't even access the WILD that goes with that gamertag, because i don't remember the password from 3 years ago"

As Gob1zku said, someone sending messages saying they "hacked" and not being able to purchase a sub does not mean your account has been compromised, but to be sure please contact support and raise an investigation.

Phone 18004MYXBOX and speak with a support agent ASAP.

you don’t understand me, they stole my account from me and unlinked my phone number and mail and tied another mail that I don’t know, but my mail was not hacked, this mail has a receipt for buying an account from the official site
