My Microsoft store won't allow me to install games I own.

Firstly, could you let me know the specific system version? You can check it by pressing the Win key + R key, and typing "winver", then press Enter, please take a screenshot/photo of it, and only send the relevant information without PII in the next reply.

I suggest you first check inside the Microsoft Store for available updates. Open Microsoft Store, click "Library" in the lower left corner, then you will see the installed applications, click "Get updates" to see if there are any available update, and click the "Update" button on the right to update.

Regarding the inability to install games you already own, you can log back into your while Microsoft account in the Microsoft Store to confirm that the account status is normal.

Additionally, if you are already logged into your current Microsoft account on more than one computer, there is a similar restriction that does not allow you to download. You can visit Microsoft account | Devices to unlink the unused device, then log back into your Microsoft account in your current device and try the download again.





Then regarding Windows Update, you can try the following steps to clear Windows Update cache and restart the related services, then reboot your system and check for system updates again. Run Command Prompt as an administrator ("Win" logo key + "Q", type "cmd", select "Run as administrator"), and type the following commands one by one.

net stop wuauserv

net stop bits

net stop cryptsvc

rd /s /q c:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution

net start wuauserv

sc config wuauserv start=auto

net start bits

sc config bits start=auto

net start cryptsvc

sc config cryptsvc start=auto

I'm having the same issue as the original poster. The microsoft store won't allow me to install, the Xbox app allows me to begin the install but before I get to 1 percent it gives me error code 0x00000001 and my only option is to cancel the download.

Hi thank you for replying. Yes that was included in the trilogy I bought. I just checked my account purchases and it's definitely in there. When I check in the store on xbox it says it's included with game pass and next to that buy to own rather than the usual you own this and if I click buy to own it tells me you already own this. Also in the store under the trilogy where it says in this bundle everything says owned except the hitman 3 access pass: hitman 2 standard but if I click on it and press buy now it tells me I already own it but it just won't install. It lets me try to install maybe because it on game pass but it won't install.
