My Microsoft Store download keeps restarting itself

As stated in the title I'm trying to download Forza Motorsport 7 on my PC, I own it on Xbox and since it is a Xbox Play Anywhere game I decided to download it on PC. This game is nearly 100GB. I let it download overnight to find it at about 65GB, not too
bad except when I paused the download very quickly it simply restarted from the very beginning. This is not a problem on my internet side as I download at 20-30 MB/s, but even with the speed it is a long download.

This is very frustrating since it's a very large game, but I want to use my computer at the same time without fear of the download restarting. Any suggestions? The only thing I can think of is to simply not touch my computer for the probable near 12 hours
it will take to download.

I have had this before, but at some stage the download would suddenly jump the x% that had already completed before the failure. I think as you said, the best thing to do is just let it go and complete before using the PC.

Thanks for the very quick response. I understand what you mean when you say it should jump the X%. I hope that happens sometime soon during the download.

Unplug every cable and put it back together again it could be a loose connection causing it to restart. After that ensure that the PSU (power brick) is in a well ventilated area if this gets to hot it shuts of to stop any damage being caused. If all else
fails contact support and set up a repair

Minor ERRiR

I amazingly fixed it. Just as I thought demo I tried to download was corrupted. What I did was remove my hard drive recover my gamertag onto the internal memory. Then I looked on the internal memory data found the demo forza motorsport which immediately
started downloading by itself which I stopped and deleted. Then I put my hard drive back in and signed into live and had no restart problems. I then for good measure went to memory found that in my demo's there was one file that said "corrupted" and another
that said "Title something something" and deleted both. Now my xbox works fine. I dont know why the forza download I tried to get corrupted my hard drive, I should not have to worry about getting bad files from microsoft on their own network.

As above, could be video related. My xbox reboots when I change HDMI channel on the TV, if yours is random then a new HDMI cable would be a cheap thing to try.
