My Microsoft account was hacked into / Minecraft included

Hi there, I am not sure who’s able to help me or point me in the right direction. I have been through hell and back with trying to recover my hacked/stolen account.

A little over two weeks ago, I came home from work and was making dinner and received a notification saying my phone number was removed from my Microsoft account. I go and check my emails and go to Microsoft itself and I received an email stating that someone logged in from out of country “Turkey” and gave me there IP and the email said that my account email was changed. From there I was fully locked out of my account. I attempted to add my number but it was removed again. I have contacted Microsoft many times, calling or also chat support. I have gotten no where. I was able to get two cases going with the Microsoft account specialist and they state my account doesn’t have enough information on it to be validated. I have all the original emails and everything with that account until it’s been changed from a hacker. My Minecraft account was also linked to this Microsoft account, as I played minecraft and used the Xbox game bar on my PC for the Xbox game pass. I even reached out to them about even trying to recover the Minecraft account and and I’m told that nothing can be done after account migration has been done.

All my conversations on the support calls have been mistaken and the people who responds to the calls weren’t able to do more or do anything at all.

I have the original information, name and so forth to the account from when I first originally made it. Same with the phone number and everything before things were changed. I have emails showing that my account info was just randomly changed.

I know that my Xbox account is currently locked or disabled from the hacker and no one has access to it. But I have no idea where to go or how to recover my account. I don’t see how I’m not able to recover an account or even escalating the situation to make sure it’s handled properly. There’s a lot of money I have put into this account on games and subscriptions.

Thank you to anyone who took there time to reads this, I am just a valuable Xbox customer and am at lost to do as I have literally gone through every thing I can but to get no where.

I had my phone number added to my account, it was removed from it and al my information was changed.

I understand and I'm really sorry about this. But if the recovery form is not working, there is no other way available to recover the account.

Hi there, I have filled out the recovery form each and every time. They ask for the account email which I have no idea what it is anymore. I have the original email that I used to create my account. I feel as if they aren’t looking at the right account to get into. I have given them many times the Xbox gamer tag to the account I’m trying to have access to. But am not sure if they are looking it up by that. I have submitted all the information. And it’s even correct also. Which is why I do not know why it doesn’t allow me to recover the account. I have given my first name last name, the country my address, Billing information, PayPal account information regarding any transactions. I’ve given the date and time when the account was originally created.

I'm really sorry about this situation. Unfortunately, if the hacker completely took control over your account, you will not be able to recover it. You could try to fill the recovery form, but the Microsoft employee you talked with on the support probably already asked you to do this and the information you provided was not enough to recover the account.

But if you want to try again, please review all your information and make sure everything is correct. In the article below you can get detailed information on how to fill the form:

If you receive a message that your account does not exist anymore when trying to fill the recovery form, unfortunately you will not be able to recover your account. Also, no Microsoft employee can help users recovering their accounts besides what users can do by themselves - which is using the recovery form. Microsoft employees are not allowed and have no access to change anything on a user account. I hope you understand.

I really understand your situation. I have seen several users losting accounts for hackers. I can only suggest you in the future to setup two factor authentication on your account - preferably a phone number to receive SMS or an authentication app. This decreases your chances of being hacked to almost zero.
