My microsoft account was deleted. Do i have to repay for Minecraft if i still have the reciept?

A while ago my microsoft account with minecraft was hacked and deleted. I remade the account and was wondering if a receipt for when i initially purchased the game would be sufficient enough to redeem a copy so i do not have to buy it again

My microsoft account was deleted. Do i have to repay for Minecraft if i still have the reciept?

Hello De405, I am an independent advisor and I will be happy to help you today. My name is Khaji

I understand your situation. According to the information I handle as an independent advisor, the purchase of Minecraft should be linked to the Microsoft account that was used to purchase it. If you have deleted that account and more than 60 days have passed, then you have lost any purchases made with that account. If it's been less than 60 days, you can undo the Microsoft account deletion and recover your purchases.

If you have already deleted the account and it has been more than 60 days, I'm afraid you will have to purchase a new license for Minecraft. Even if you have the original purchase receipt, it appears that you cannot redeem a copy of the game with it if the original account has been deleted.

I would recommend that you contact Microsoft or Mojang support for additional help. They may be able to provide you with a more precise solution based on the specific details of your situation.

If after this you can't solve the problem, I will be here to continue helping you,
but remember and keep in mind that I am a Player just like you
than with little more knowledge regarding Software and Hardware.

When transferring Mojang account to Microsoft why do we have to re-purchase the game?

It still says the same thing after closing all connecting accounts and resigning into my Microsoft account. It lets me sign in with my Microsoft account and then tells me I can only play the demo and need to re-purchase Minecraft. This is getting ridiculous, I just want my game to work like it did before the whole migration thing. It is a scam to FORCE players to migrate and then tell them they need to repay for a game they have been playing for X amount of years.

why do i have to repay for minecraft on pc if i bought it on console and on the same account

Hi, Tamara! Thank you for reaching out.
I'm AJ, an Independent Advisor for the Xbox Community.

Unfortunately, only 'Play Anywhere' games can be played on both Xbox and PC using the same license. Minecraft is not a 'Play Anywhere' title and therefore requires separate purchases for each platform. It's worth mentioning that this is not only the case for Xbox and PC, Minecraft requires separate purchases for each gaming platform it can be played on.

Besides buying the PC version of Minecraft, I'm afraid the only other way to access it on PC is through a subscription to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass.

    -----------------

    For your reference:

    • Xbox Play Anywhere catalog - https://www.xbox.com/games/xbox-play-anywhere

These games can be played on both Xbox and PC at no additional cost.

    ----

    • Minecraft: Java & Bedrock Edition for PC - https://www.xbox.com/games/store/minecraft-java-bedrock-edition-for-pc/9nxp44l49shj

    • Minecraft (Bedrock) for Xbox Consoles - https://www.xbox.com/games/store/minecraft/9mvxmvt8zkwc

The "Playable On" section of these games' listings mentions the platforms on which they can be played on.

    -----------------

As a fellow gamer, I understand this is probably not the answer you were hoping for. I'm sorry, Tamara.

Please let me know if you have any further questions, I'd be happy to help.
    Best regards.
