    My Microsoft account was closed and I would like access to Minecraft Java Edition back.

    Little backstory to this, I had bought Minecraft Java Edition back in 2021 from this exact Microsoft account (it was the same email ID).

    Since I had access to my game and Microsoft store, I did not check my Microsoft account very often. It had been more than 60 days I'd suppose, and my account was closed. Microsoft, on their site, say they disable the account, but in my case my account was closed. If it was not Microsoft, I'd only suspect a compromise with my account that recently happened. So with that said, I have been wanting to play Minecraft again and so would like access to the game once again. I have the receipt and other information if needed (I will post the transaction ID and information after a reply to this post). If you would like to check the old information related to this account, it was the following:

    To know if your Microsoft account is active, you can sign in through this link, https://account.microsoft.com You will enter your email account that is associated to your Microsoft account. If the email account is correct, you will need to enter the password to successfully sign in your account. If there errors after entering your email account, please refer to this link, I can't sign in to my Microsoft account - Microsoft Support.

    To keep your Microsoft account active, you must sign in to your Microsoft account at least once in a two-year period to keep your account active. If you don’t sign in during this time, Microsoft will consider your account to be inactive.     I'm being asked to buy Minecraft: Java and Bedrock edition although I have already owned Bedrock for years and I have Java on my laptop.

    The Xbox edition of Minecraft in the screenshot is still the Bedrock edition, is it not? I should have access to Java through owning the Bedrock edition, and I don't understand why I wouldn't be able to play it if I played Java in the past with my Microsoft account without having to buy Java.

    Hi,

    Minecraft Java Edition can be purchased from thier store page using your Microsoft Account:

    https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/store/minecraft-java-edition

    And then being accessed with the (free) Minecraft Launcher on the Microsoft Store.

    Both Windows and Java Editions are included with Xbox Game Pass for PC/Ultimate subscription.
