My Microsoft account lost everything on my new Xbox but is still with the same email how?

With regards to your issue, it is possible that your gamertag is associated on a different email address. There are instances where you receive the receipt on a different email than the one where your gamertag is really associated so sometimes we mistakenly think that it is the same email address.

Once you sign in your email via https://account.xbox.com/profile page if it is the correct email address it should show your gamertag and the achievements. But if a different gamertag is showing meaning it is a different email addresses also happened to me based on experience.

If you somehow remember having a different email address might be a Microsoft domain outlook.com, live, msn, hotmail, etc. I suggest to try signing in on the link above to check your profile, your achievements and purchases will not disappear unless the account has been deleted or inactive for 2 years.

Yo. I'm on the same boat. I lost everything on my little brothers account. Basically everything you can think off including the email was reset to like new. Don't listen to Crystal. You are not using the wrong email. I also used the same exact email associated
with the account. (By brother only has one) and it resetted everything. Right now. I'm just waiting. Supposely they say it has been fixed. BS. There is tons of people still having trouble. I'm just hopeing my account is still somewhere in their server. Hopeing
it didn't get wiped out. Can't figure out HOW an account can get wiped out from their servers. Little bro lost EVERYTHING. Gamer score. Black Ops 4 progress. His emblems. His guns. His skins. His Pass. His character progress.

Might anyone know how it is possible to remove (Detatch) my Xbox 360 Live account (which was never paid for) from my microsoft account? Oh, and I am prevented and cannot choose to click or open the green boxes labeled "account" or "privacy" from my xbox

Gamertags/xbox profiles can NOT be moved between microsoft accounts. Even if you change the email (as seen

here) it will still log you into the same microsoft account, but with just a different email. You can only change TO an email that is NOT Hotmail, Live or Outlook.

The only way to fix this is to have your son create a new account. You can set your account as the

My home xbox account and on that console he can share your games and gold.

If I associate a new email address with my Microsoft account and then remove my existing email from this account, couldn't I then create a new Microsoft account with my previous email address? This way my son could continue with the same Microsoft account/Xbox
subscription under his new email address. He would then retain all the benefits of his existing gamer profile which he has gained over the past 8 years.

You could do that and create a new microsoft account and xbox account with that email but he will start fresh with 0 everything and no subscription.

The gamertag and all purchases, subscriptions and gamerpoints and save game progress will stay with the microsoft account that it's on and there's no way to move that to another microsoft account no matter what you do: may that be email moving or anything.

If I kept his email on there, and added mine and made mine primary would his email account still get lost and then I get the emails? Or will everything still be the same.
