    So exactly today, my Microsoft account was hacked by a malicious application.
    And now I cannot sign in, or do anything
    What to do now?

    NOTES:
    - I cannot fill out the form because the hacker activated 2-step verification activated
    - I cannot reset my password. They have changed the recovery email, phone number, and password, so I cannot review any activity or do anything with my account really.

    It would be nice if I could send out a form even with 2-step verification activated. That'd be appreciated.

    thing is with microsoft, you cannot use the recovery form for an account with 2fa enabled, you will need to contact support directly as there is no online way of doing this, usually microsoft refuses to touch an account with 2fa on as even they cannot retrieve codes for the account.

    it is stupid but also this is why all companies expect customers to activate 2fa to double secure the account.

    I know the following reply can be frustrating… but I’m afraid to say that if the hacker managed to enable two steps verification.
    It’s not possible to recover the account, even no one at Microsoft can recover it.

    Have not they thought that the hackers of the account can activate that aswell?
