    My Microsoft account account was hacked and the email was changed. What do I do


    I went to the Minecraft launcher to try and play Minecraft but I couldn't log in, the email was changed. this is really unfortunate because Microsoft provides ZERO help for situations like this. so I'm curious as to what I can do. I know what the email was changed to (it's a Russian email, I live in the UK I'm not sure how this wasn't flagged or anything but there you have it) But I have all the info needed. I just need my account back. But don't know where to start, what do I do?

    Thanks, but what email do i use for the recovery? i made a new microsoft account with the same email as the email in my hacked account before it was changed and im afraid i might accidentally access the new microsoft account i made.

    I am sorry for what happened. If you had an alternate email address or phone number added to the account - and if the hacker haven't removed them - you can try the steps on the URL below to try to reset your account password:

    If the above does not work, your only option is to fill the recovery form. In the article below you can get detailed information on how to fill the form:

    The Microsoft recovery form is available on:

    If when you try to fill the recovery form you receive a message that your account does not exist anymore, unfortunately you will not be able to recover your account.

    No Microsoft employee can help users recovering their accounts besides what users can do by themselves - which is using the above options. Microsoft employees are not allowed and have no access to change anything on a user account. I hope you understand.
