    my microphone only works in the xbox pc party chat but will not work on pc games or things...


    I bought my microphone about two years ago (Neewer NW-800) and have come to find that it only works for the playback feature and Xbox game bar parties. My microphone does not work for others things such as game chats or discord calls.

    That generic support doesn't really apply here. The problem is with a PC microphone, not an Xbox One microphone. The Xbox App on PC detects the mic and it works if I start a party via the app, but it doesn't work in any capacity on the Xbox One for parties
    or game chat.

    I plugged in another mic from a head set that I have (dual splitter cord) and it also did not work on anything so maybe it isn't my microphone itself but something else.

    Hello Jacob, the Neewer NW-800 microphone, better known as the BM-800 is a Condenser Microphone is one of the best budget microphone out in the market. It looks and feels premium even on a low price tag, It also records audio pretty well too!

    It was one of my first microphones, and I still have it.

    It comes with a USB cable and an XLR , if you are using the USB cable, try to see in the Windows settings if it discord other Apps are configured to be recognized by it.

    If it doesn't work, as it doesn't have the ability to install drivers, sometimes the only way to get it recognized the only way to get it recognized by discord etc would be to use an audio interface.

    I think the Blue microphones are all USB microphones, so I'm not sure you'd be able to use it for stream chat on your PC and game chat on your Xbox console at the same time. It's probably possible if you use the Xbox app on your PC for party chat though.

    What specifically doesn't work? The stream audio or the party audio?
    Was that not covered in the OPs post?

    Seems to me that the OP is playing using the Remote Play function but the Microphone doesn't work when in a party chat whilst using the Remote Play. the Mic works fine when directly connected to the Xbox or used via the Xbox App
