My microphone has gone insanely quiet to other people since buying a new contoller

I recently bought a turtle beach recon controller, and now my microphone is really quiet. Its not a problem of mic monitoring, or if the microphone is working at all, i am stumped and would appreciate some help.

Are you using a Turtle Beach recon headset as well? I ask as this seems to be a common complaint with that combination.

Assuming that you have adjusted the Party/Game ratio to fully party (or mostly), and that your controller is fully updated, the only advice is to contact turtle Beach support about it (which is what TB advise when people mention this issue on Reddit):

maybe they are keeping quiet becouse it is just as good on the 360 as it is on the one! it could delay a lot of people from buying the new system! i hope that is the reason since i dont have the new system.

First, check that the microphone is activated in your audio configuration, second verify that the 3.5 jack of the control is not clogged with something, third if possible test in another contol and finally verify that your control has the latest updates,
In case none of this solves try another device that has a microphone if the problem still does not work is the control
