    My mic isn’t working.


    When my mic is adjusted, I can’t hear people speaking. For example, when listening to music the vocals disappear, when talking to friends they become very quiet and when playing fifa I can’t hear the commentary.

    Hi Alexweb7!

    What exactly is the device/platform are you using? Also, what's your headset make/model? Is it wireless or connected through the controller?

    Try to check your chat mixer.
    Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.
    Select Profile & system > Settings > General > Volume & audio output.
    Under Advanced, select Additional options, and then select Chat mixer.
    Select one of the available options.

    Have you tried the suggested steps above?

    To further isolate the issue, you may as well try a different controller or a headset for us to be sure which one is faulty.

    Iam using Xbox one controller on an Xbox one. And my mic is wired.

    Since you work for Microsoft is there a chance you could possibly see if my account was muted ? I don’t have any outstanding enforcement issues or anything but my buddy said he got his account muted my Microsoft one time on accident and they didn’t know.

    Also, if you are not able to see an enforcement action in your account history. This means that you're not banned and if that was the case, you shouldn't be able to use the Xbox mobile app to join parties

    You can try to isolate the problem even more testing your account on a different console
