    My mic is broke?


    Hi! My mic has been completely acting out. What's been happening is whenever I try to talk, it can't seem to hear me. I tested this by going in Xbox voice message to see what my voice sounded like, and it was to quiet to understand. If I were to move the
    mic closer to my mouth (has to be pretty close) it just gets too loud. This even happened on another mic I tested and on my Xbox One S (I have an original Xbox One and Xbox One S). The only thing that stayed the same was the wired controller I used. I asked
    this question a day ago and an Xbox ambassador said that it could be an issue with my controller and to get a new one. I asked another question a few hours ago and Another Xbox Ambass. said it could be that my controller needed to be updated. I bought a new
    controller and checked if it needed an update and none of that worked. What do I do now?

    Hello Bugsy,

    Thanks for coming to the forums. We recommend trying out the
    troubleshooter for headset    . Also, check the mic monitoring under Audio in the system tab. Access this like you were going to settings> It is right under settings. If it is all the way to the left, it will barely read what is being said.
