    There has been alot of people this week talking about having problems with messages. Mostly not being able to send or receive them. The problem should clear up this weekend.

    Had that for more than a few weeks on the Xbox Beta app as well as the console. For my console, I just went back into notifications and it disappeared (huzzah). For the Beta app, it's been on-off. Going into a notification or two, clicking refresh, clearing
    cache... It hasn't been as prevalent a problem now, because it's behaving itself.

    I have had that happen, and usually it fixes itself within a day or two. I just assume its part of the extra server load lately. :p

    Xbox Messaging Glitch

    I’ve had the issue in the pas. For me, my Xbox randomly selected a chat that was practically all the way down my messages list, and marked it as unread. I just had to find it, and “read” it again.

    I'm unable to receive nor mark messages as read

    Try performing a hard reset by pressing the power button on the console for 10 seconds or until the power shuts off completely. Then unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes.
