My main account is locked

We know how important it is for you to sign into your account and this has been locked. Based on your description, your account got locked out and you were unable to figure it out. Let us check on this together and sort this out in timely manner.

Account locked happens when there is a suspicious activity detected that have had violate Microsoft’s Terms of Use agreement. This usually being resolved by verification of your account and if there is no Next option after you sign in then you will need to read the instruction on the screen.

For your convenience in reading this support article, you may try the read aloud feature of Microsoft Edge browser. Just highlight the article by pressing Windows + A or drag your mouse on the article from top to bottom. Then, use read aloud feature by pressing Control + Shift + U.

Under Select the option that describes your experience, you have two options to select, and this part may not be read fully by the read aloud as you will need to manually select them to open. If you were to ask what other way to unlock an account, this is the only way for you to unlock it. We know you wanted to use the account however, the key to unlock the account is in your hands.

Just to set your expectations, the Microsoft account is managed by a fully automated server and we don't have manual access to it. We hope you can unlock it by following the steps on the support article.

Sorry I've been busy the last few days and missed the email.

I still don't understand why my account is locked and how to fix the problem.

I have been sharing my account the last 6 months with online friends of mine ever since I moved to a very rural area.

I just want to know whats going on at the very least. After 13 year with xbox I hope I can at least get an answer.

Please just tell me what to do so I can fix the issue.

I just tried that link again Maxen and the email address I used back then is no longer in use, I'm pretty sure it doesn't even exist, and the security question it asked isn't working. I am 100% sure I am answering it correctly as well. I don't know what's
wrong with it.

All that info you listed should not be needed for the password reset page...
