I'm an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft Xbox user like you.

Normally, the Xbox app doesn't consume an excessive amount of data unless you're downloading heavy games, but the app itself shouldn't.

I checked on my laptop, and it appears to have only used 14 MB in the last 30 days. I suggest you check the actual data usage of the application by going into the Windows settings. Under network status, you'll find the option to check data usage by clicking the appropriate button, with a list of all applications.

I figured it out.. the problem was the wifi. I used a Xfinity router and the gateway to my console it has been limited to not constantly consume the data that much. Due to the games i been downloading for the past months.

First off, sorry I haven't been on here lately, I've been out of town and didn't have internet. To answer everyones comments and questions,

I haven't been able to try it directly to the modem because i'm using an unsecured wireless internet connection and running the internet from my laptop directly to the xbox. I tried downloading my profile on my friends xbox, and it loaded just fine using
the same setup. He tried downloading his profile onto my xbox and it downloaded without a hitch.

Can licensing issues occur when my xbox is not even connected to the internet for a long time? I downloaded the DLC back in February and I played it sometime early this summer, it seemed to work even without a connection. My xbox has not been connected to
the internet since February.

I am very concerned with the usage allowance on the internet as well as this system is such a huge let down having to download so much from the internet

I hate it, it has wasted so much of my time and no one else has been able to use the internet properly when it is downloading as it takes up the bandwidth!
