My kids have Lost their minecraft world save,since last update ?!?

she did not delete the world, as the image of the world she made is still there to load,,, but when she loads the saved world she made it's a new map like all her stuff is just not there,it was the xbox360 update that somehow glitched her saved game in minecraft.....she
will be having to her own backups of her games now due to this,,i still have the world seed that she created if that helps......

Have you tried loading up the minecraft worlds that you don't recognize to see if they're perhaps your worlds just with different names?

If the worlds are definitely not yours, then it looks like your Minecraft data was lost.

As Mister Fizzle said, there have been issues in the past where Minecraft Title updates have caused Minecraft worlds to be lost. It's possible that this has happened (since a Minecraft update came out recently).

However, the loss of your Skyrim save seems to indicate that the process to move the data from your USB drive to your hard drive did not complete properly or errored during and caused the data to be lost.

I'm sorry that I don't have better news for you.

Thanks George C. Unfortunately, despite your quick response and most valiant efforts, the two small empires of Luten and Hans, their many wonders, people, and entire world, have been lost to the void thanks to the failure of Minecraft to create a simple method for deleting corrupt saves.

Why, oh why, must we access a file that cannot be accessed in order to delete it to free up space on our XBox? It seems like something that really should have been fixed with an update by now. Oh, and for that 'uploading' bit it does to backup what's on the console to be a real thing. I'd suggest it, but the chances of the Minecraft creators noticing such a petition are as likely as our lost world being resurrected.

Lucky for me, the kids have their own accounts, so their worlds are fine. Most irksome, however, is the Redstone and other designs they had me create were on my side. Now I have to try to remember and recreate them all. Bummer. Oh! And all the historical Doc Seuss style poetry of the villages! The horror!

Thanks for the assist though. A village in the new world shall be created in your honor, and an entry made of its local hero in the church records. It will be an epic saga of George, hero of pointless battles, lost time, and lost worlds, and it shall be known as... The Odyss-C.

Games such as NBA 2K16 have an auto save feature. The only things your kids may have lost was game play since the last auto save. As for purchased content, that's an in game issue and if any purchased content is missing (unlikely from turning it off at
the power strip) that will need to be addressed with the game developer.

Just upgraded to W10 on Xbox and am experiencing this same issue with all my saved Minecraft worlds. Did you find a solution? My kids are going to kill me!
