My kid is using my account and I want to add family

    Hi,

My son is using my account and my gamertag since many years but now, I want to create him a account to be apart of family but he do not want to loose all his "success" in all his games. Can we transfer "success" from one account to another? Can I change
the email of the gametag only? The problem is, my account is my main email inbox.

    Thanks for your help!

    :)

Can I Add my Gold Account to a Family Account?

Does anyone know whether it's possible to add my Gold Account to a Family Gold Account?

I was thinking of buying a Family Gold Account for the kids now they are old enough, but would like to manage the entire Family account using my existing Gold Account.

    Possible?

    Can't create a family account

Bought a Xbox one s and created an account with my email. Then I saw an option for a family account and have tried to add my kids under my log in as family members but I end up in an endless loop of log in my account then try to add a kid and it says need
an adult to add when I just logged my self in. What the hell. There is a surprising lack of info that comes with these or on these. Like they don't want new people.

    Hi,

Unfortunately, there is no current way to transfer any game progress from one Xbox profile to another.

What you can try to do is if you want to change the email address that your son signs in with the Xbox profile or in other words change the primary account alias to the Microsoft Account.

However, just to be sure if you are using a Microsoft email such as @outlook.com, @hotmail.com, and or @live.com as the steps bellow will permanently delete the email address and you will no longer have access to your emails in which you will not want to
    continue.

First, we will want to create a new email address for you son, this will be the new address we will create for him to login to the Xbox profile. To do so, please follow the steps bellow:

    1. Sign in to your Microsoft account.
    2. Select Your info at the top of the page.
    3. Select Manage how you sign in to Microsoft.
    4. You may be prompted to re-enter your password or enter a code we send to the email address or phone number listed in your account as security information. This lets us know the request is coming from you.
    5. Select Add email (create new email address)

When you select 'Add email' you should see an option to create a new Microsoft Account email, this will be with an @outlook.com domain. This will be the new email address that you create for your son to sign in to the account in the future.

Once the email is added as an alias to the account, you should now see the option to make it the primary alias for the account, in which will now make this the main email to sign in to the account. If you would like to then detach your email from the account
so its no longer attached, you should see the option to remove next to your email address.

Once you completed those steps, your email is no longer associated to the account, and when your son goes to sign in to the account he will now use the new email address you created for him in step 5. Essentially this is giving him your Microsoft Account
in another way, however you can still add it to an existing family or if its already apart of one, it will remain. You can change the privacy settings on the account and add a passkey on the account if you would like to prevent any accidental and or unauthorized
purchases and much more by following these guides: Require a Passkey for Purchases on Xbox One

Hopefully this helps! My kid is using my account and I want to add family :)

Credit card not showing as option for child's account in Microsoft Family Services.

I'm having the exact same issue as above. The credit card is showing when I sign into my kid's Microsoft Account, but it's not showing in on my child's Family account. Why? I don't want to remove the Ask To Buy. But I want to use the credit card and not this bizarre option to buy in $10 increments.

How do I get the credit card I added to my child's Microsoft Account to show up in their Family account? When I click the option to add the credit card in the Family page, it tells me to add it to the kid's Microsoft Account, which...I've already done.

(as a side note: Microsoft's Family account thing is ridiculously convoluted. Please hire some Google employees to fix this. Google Family is SO MUCH EASIER!)

    gold family membership

so if I have an existing acount, and want to renew it with a family account, could I renew my account and my wife's account (which we pay monthly) but add my two kids, or would i have to create4 new accounts?

Xbox privacy settings for child account

The best way I found to manage my sons account was to create my own account, and then add my son as a child to the FAMILY.

That meant that all the privacy and security settings are done through MY account using the FAMILY options.

    https://account.microsoft.com/family/

A much easier and better way to manage your kids, without having to sign into their account.
