My Home Xbox showing 0 switches wrongly

The other day I switched my home Xbox due to an internet outage. I need to switch it back to my wife’s Xbox so she and I can share games, but her Xbox shows up with 0 switches left for my account, while my Xbox shows up with 3 switches left. Any suggestions?

Did you use the same account to sign in to both consoles and yet they're showing different home switches left?

Sadly if there aren't any more shares left, these can't be reset so she will need to wait until one becomes available.

You can share your games with her using one of your shares but because she doesn't have one left, she will need to wait before she can share with you again.

Im familiar with this and tried it and talked to another person, i had set my friends account as my home xbox and his games never showed. It kept saying he had 3 switches after i unswitched and switched it a couple of times. So i factory reset my xbox and it said he has 0 but now it says my account has 3 switches so i had talked to you because I'm stuck at 3 just like his no matter how many times i un switch and switch it says i have 3, so i used another friends account “he has 0 switches” and i was able to see his games

I am literally having the same exact problem. Word for word what Nick said. I’m currently without internet so I tried to switch my Xbox to “home Xbox” by using a personal hotspot. It said 0/5 changes left then I disconnected from the hotspot and reconnected. It then said I have 5/5 changes, but when I tried to make this Xbox my home one it said “can’t save changes”. It now shows I have 0/5 changes again even though I’ve haven’t changed this year. What is going on? I just want to play my game offline.

Ok well i conducted two test

Test 1:lets call the guy i am trying to game share with ‘Person 1’ I took his account off my home xbox and my games were 41, once i added his account as my home xbox it was 41

Test 2: i used another friends ‘ Person 2’ account and logged onto it, (it has 0 switches) immediately when i logged on his account his games were 62

Conclusion: when i log onto ‘person 1’ the games wont show and only show my games ‘person 2’ games show though.
